ROADS
The province of Cadiz has an extensive road network that plays a fundamental role in the economic and tourist development of the region, facilitating the transport of goods and access to numerous tourist destinations.
One of the main arteries is the Autovía del Sur (A-4)The road crosses the province from north to south, connecting with Seville, and then on to Madrid. This highway is of great importance for the transport of goods, as it allows direct connection with the capital of Spain and the main logistic corridors of the country.
Another key road is the Autovía del Estrecho (A-48)which connects Cádiz with Vejer and continues on to Algeciras via the National Highway 340. Upon reaching Algeciras, this road splits again to connect with the Mediterranean Highway (A-7), which runs along the Spanish Mediterranean coast.which runs along the Spanish Mediterranean coast, and with the Jerez-Los Barrios Motorway (A-381)which ends in Jerez de la Frontera and is one of the main roads.
The A-382allows access to towns such as Arcos de la Frontera, from where it connects with the Sierra de Grazalema through the A-384 road. A-384.
Other connections in the form of a dual carriageway are the A-480Jerez-Sanlúcar; and the A-491between El Puerto de Santa María and Costa Ballena, in Rota-Chipiona.
Inland, the province of Cadiz has an extensive network of secondary and local roads connecting the different municipalities and main rural areas.
